Austin Keen cut through choppy conditions to win the men's pro division of the 10th annual Senseless Skimfest skimboarding contest at 26th Avenue Beach on Saturday.

No wild waves here, just sweet flatland ideal for skimboarding. Competitors will compete for prizes for Open, 16-18 years old, 13-15 years, 10-12 years and 9 & younger divisions..Pre-registration, guarantees event t-shirt, deadline is Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 6 pm.

What are the GrAMmy’s though? The GrAMmy’s is an all amateur skimboarding contest hosted by Overhead Surf Shop, in Madeira Beach. It will take place on Sunday June, 13th. Riders came from all over the North America to participate in Canadian Open: SkimJam in White Rock, BC. Amos Barlett traveled all the way from Louisiana for the contest. The contest was epic with with a 20-foot kink rail and a 20-foot up flat ollie on.

The 1st Annual "Ho Ho Holidays Skim Slam" hosted by Jetset Surf Shop was a great success. The weather was less than ideal with 30 mph sustained winds, but the skimmers fought through it.
